ASTM A387 GR.91 CL.2 Alloy Steel Plates manufactured at the world's finest steel mills, this
molybdenum-chrome based alloy has excellent resistance to greater working temperatures, making it the
right selection for various applications like in gas, oil, chemical, and power generation. Furthermore,
the carbon alloy steel plate used is considered when the high-temperature resistance and very good
anti-corrosion properties are a major concern. Pressure vessel grade steel is commonly used by the
fabricators supplying the gas-oil industry.
ASTM A 387 GR.91 CL.2 Low Alloy Steel Plates have become an option for the surrounding sour service due
to their good corrosion-resistant properties. The material has a very good welding ability and
resistance to heat qualities. Today this material has become an acceptable product that can be used
easily in many applications. ASTM A 387 is the standard specification for alloy steel, pressure vessel
plates, molybdenum & chromium plates used in the applications of pressure vessels & welded boilers
subjected to elevated temperatures. The two grades in which it is available are class 1 and class 2.
Before these plates are supplied to the clients' various tests are conducted on them. The tests done are
mainly to check product quality. Some tests are vacuum treatment, positive material identification,
tension test, Charpy test, V notch test, impact test, drop weight test, ultrasonic examination,
high-temperature tension test, and so on. Thus the superior quality of plates is provided to the
clients.
