Amardeep is a renowned supplier and exporter, known for delivering high-quality products in compliance with the Stainless Steel 431 Tubes. SS 431 Tubes, also known as DIN EN 1.4057 or X17CrNi16-2 stainless steel, belong to the category of nickel-containing martensitic stainless steels. This material exhibits superior corrosion resistance and mechanical properties when compared to straight chromium stainless steel. Identified as a rust- and acid-resistant martensitic chromium steel with added nickel, the 1.4057 grade boasts improved resistance to intergranular corrosion through surface polishing.
Often referred to as AISI 431, SS 431 is a martensitic stainless steel that combines exceptional impact strength
at high hardness levels with the best corrosion resistance among its martensitic counterparts. Noteworthy for
its high polishability, this steel is suitable for applications up to a working temperature of 500 degrees
Celsius. The steel grade SS431 / 1.4057 (also known as ASTM 431 and SS2321) is characterized by high tensile
strength and good machinability, making it ideal for the production of corrosion-resistant components through
machining, especially in environments where resistance to strong oxidizing acids, such as nitric acid, is
required.
SS431 stainless steel, also denoted as 4057 or 1.4057, is a widely used martensitic stainless steel grade. It is
designated as 1.4057 or X17CrNi16-2 according to EN norms and UNS S43100 according to UNS norms.
The SS 431 Tubes is a high chromium-low nickel martensitic stainless steel with excellent hardenability, high
strength, and good corrosion resistance. Typically supplied in a hardened and tempered condition with a tensile
range of 850 to 1000 Mpa (condition T) and a Brinell range of 248 to 302, it exhibits very good corrosion
resistance in general atmospheric environments. Additionally, it shows resistance to mild marine and industrial
atmospheres, various organic materials, nitric acid, and petroleum products. The steel's high tensile and yield
strength, coupled with excellent toughness in the hardened and tempered state, make it a suitable choice for
diverse applications. Due to its exceptional hardenability, SS 431 can be through-hardened up to Rc44, depending
on carbon content and section size.
