What is Inconel 625?
Inconel Alloy 625 (UNS N06625) is a high-performance nickel-based superalloy known for its excellent strength and resistance to very high temperatures. It offers outstanding protection against corrosion and oxidation. With its ability to endure high stress and a wide range of temperatures—both in and out of water—along with its resistance to corrosion in highly acidic environments, Inconel 625 is just the right material for the kinds of applications that challenge the alloy to perform at its best, in industries such as nuclear power and marine.
Types of Inconel 625 Pipes & Tubes
Inconel Alloy 625 Seamless Pipes
Inconel 625 seamless pipe contains 58% nickel and 20% chromium. The remainder of the composition includes carbon, manganese, silicon, iron, sulfur, aluminum, and titanium. Because it has superior corrosion resistance, the alloy is an excellent choice for seawater applications. The seamless pipe is available in sizes ranging from 4mm to 219mm in diameter. For these sockets, the wall thickness ranges from 0.5mm to 20mm. For larger diameter applications, the pipes are available in schedules ranging from 5 to 160. This alloy is offered in various forms, including round and hydraulic pipes.
Inconel Alloy 625 Welded Tubes
Welding Inconel may be difficult because the welds that are made tend to split. Some alloys of Inconel were particularly planned for utilization in welding like TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas). Inconel 625 Tube is used in methods where high heat is required. This nickel-chromium alloy is a good choice for extreme temperature use in high-strength parts because it has oxidation problem areas and finds particular application in the offshore oil & gas and aerospace industries.
Inconel 625 tubes, also known for their great resistance to pitting, stress corrosion, crevice corrosion, corrosion fatigue, and erosion corrosion, help to to maintain their mechanical properties 450 °C (840 °F). Inconel 625 tubing is manufactured as per AMS 5581. The cold-drawn tubes are available in different lengths of 6 meters and 3 meters.
Inconel 625 Pipes Specification
Inconel 625 pipes are recognized for their remarkable corrosion resistance and strength. They also seem to thrive in extreme environments, with high temperatures and pressures, that are typical of many chemical processing, marine, and aerospace applications. Furthermore, they meet either the ASTM B444 standard or the ASTM B705 standard. It is available in seamless or welded forms, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Inconel 625 Pipe Chemical Composition
The prime chemical composition of Inconel 625 pipes are nickel (58% minimum) and chromium (20-23%). However, the alloy also has important amounts of other elements. Molybdenum (8-10%) is present to improve the resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking. Niobium (3.15-4.15%) reinforces the matrix, increasing the tensile strength of the alloy. Other trace elements also serve to optimally blend the alloy. These pipes are suited for not only high-temperature but also highly corrosive environments.

Inconel 625 Tube Mechanical Properties
The mechanical properties of Inconel 625 pipes include high tensile strength and superior resistance to oxidation and corrosion. There is no melting point specified for Inconel 625, but it is known that its base metal, nickel, has a melting point of 1455 °C (2667 °F), and several of its alloying elements have lower melting points than nickel, while others have much higher melting points. There is therefore a range of temperatures in which Inconel 625 can melt, with 1455 °C being the lowest. Inconel 625 pipes also possess impressive fatigue and creep resistance.

Inconel 625 Pipe & Tube Price List
Inconel 625 pipes price differently depending on a few factors. The most significant of these is whether your order is for a small, medium, or large quantity of pipes. Then there's the matter of the order's size and thickness. To order these pipes is to order something that has outstanding resistance to corrosion and has outstanding strength. Solid pipes mean solid results. And inasmuch as these pipes are used in the aerospace and marine industries and in chemical processing, they serve as something of a benchmark for competitive pricing.
