Amardeep steel is leading Carbon steel plates & sheets supplier & exporter. Carbon steel
plates are renowned for their versatility and strength, primarily composed of carbon (C), manganese (Mn),
phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), and silicon (Si), with the possibility of including elements like aluminum (Al),
chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V), etc.
Grades and Strengths: These plates come in different grades based on carbon content and strength. Low, medium,
and high carbon steel plates offer varying degrees of durability and strength, with higher carbon content
resulting in enhanced sturdiness.
Various Sizes and Applications: Carbon steel plates are available in a wide range of sizes, with thicknesses
spanning from 0.4 mm to 80 mm and widths from 1000 mm to 45000 mm. The length can be customized up to 18
meters, making them ideal for diverse applications. Furthermore, these plates can be used to produce cold
rolled steel coils, adding to their versatility and utility.
We also offers in different grades and specifications such as ASTM A515 Gr. 70, Gr. 60, ASTM A516 Gr. 70, Gr.
60, Gr. 65, ASTM C45, EN8, and ASTM A572 Gr. 42, 50 Carbon Steel Sheets, Plates, and Coils. These Carbon Steel
Plates can be matched for corrosion resistance with austenitic and ferrite steel grades, but it's crucial to
assess their suitability in specific corrosive environments.
For instance, structures with Carbon Steel Slitting Coils in swimming pools are susceptible to SCC (Stress
Corrosion Cracking), making the use of standard austenitic stainless steel like Carbon Steel Perforated Coils
unsuitable in such applications.
Amardeep Steel is renowned for providing high-quality CS Plates in various sizes and shapes, customized to meet
clients' specific requirements. While Carbon Steel Coils offer high strength, they may have lower ductility
compared to austenitic grades.

Based on carbon content, there are three different types of carbon steel plates, namely low, medium, and high carbon steel plates. Generally, the higher the carbon content, the greater the hardness, the higher the strength, but the lower the plasticity.
Type of Carbon Steel Plates | Carbon Content | Tensile Strength | Yield Strength | Properties |
Low/Mild Carbon Steel Plate | 0.05-0.25% | 325-500MPa | 180-260MPa | Low hardness; high ductility; low cost; good formability and weldability |
Medium Carbon Steel Plate | 0.26-0.60% | 460-620MPa | 325-420MPa | Medium strength, ductility, and toughness; poor weldability |
High Carbon Steel Plate | 0.61-1.50% | 660-940MPa | 380-440MPa | Greatest strength and hardness; low ductility and formability |
By thickness, the carbon steel plates can be divided into thin, medium, thick, and extra-thick carbon steel plates. Here is a table for your reference.
Items | Thicknesses |
Thin carbon steel sheet | 0.2mm-4mm |
Medium carbon steel plate | 4mm-20mm |
Thick carbon steel plate | 20mm-60mm |
Extra-thick carbon steel plate | 60mm+ |
