The Air Pre heater's main objective is to gather waste heat from the flue gases leaving the boiler. Air Pre Heater Tubes must also meet requirements for elongation, hardness, yield strength, and tensile strength.

APH Tubes are offered with welded or seamless ends in hot rolled or cold drawn shapes. The size and quality of APH ERW tubes are determined by the boiler design, which is based on the fuel type, temperatures, pressures, and needed steam volume.

Working of Air Preheaters (APH)

In air preheaters, which have a shell and tube architecture, the exhaust heat from the flue gases is transferred to the air when they come into indirect contact with one another.

A shell with tubes arranged in a square or triangular configuration and welded to a tube plate makes up an air preheater. Depending on the type of operation and ease of cleaning, flue gases and air can alternately be allowed to go shell side or tube side.

Air Preheater Tube Pros:
