ASME SA 519 Grade 1518 Specification

ASME SA 519 Grade 1518 Carbon Steel Seamless Tubings are classified as low carbon steel tubings, containing 0.15-0.21% carbon along with 1.10-1.40% manganese. Commonly referred to as mild steel pipes and tubes, these tubings are cost-effective and easy to form and shape, making them suitable for various applications. Manufactured according to ASME specifications, they are also known as carbon steel (CS) pipes or mild steel (MS) pipes. While low carbon steel pipes are not as hard as high carbon steel pipes, their surface hardness can be increased through a process called carburizing.
