At Amardeep Steel Centre, we provide Nimonic alloy 263, which is a nickel-cobalt-chrome-molybdenum alloy known for its age-hardening capabilities. This alloy was specifically designed to exhibit excellent fabrication characteristics in the annealed condition while maintaining strong strength properties after aging. Compared to materials like Waspaloy or Rene 41, Nimonic 263 is easier to form and weld, and it demonstrates exceptional ductility at intermediate temperatures.
Our Nimonic 263 is supplied in the annealed condition, offering excellent ductility that makes it suitable for both cold forming and hot working processes. When it comes to welding Nimonic 263, we recommend using filler wire with a matching composition in both TIG and MIG forms to ensure optimal results.
To achieve the desired properties and performance of Nimonic 263, we suggest the following heat treatments:
Extruded Bar:
- Solution Treatment: Heat the material to 1150 °C for 1.5-2.5 hours, followed by water quenching.
- Ageing Treatment: Heat the material to 800 °C for 8 hours, then allow it to cool in ambient air.
- (These treatments comply with BS HR10 and AMS 5886 standards.)
Hot-rolled Sheet:
- Solution Treatment: Heat the material to 1150 °C for 0.5 hours, followed by water quenching or air cooling.
- Ageing Treatment: Heat the material to 800 °C for 8 hours, then allow it to cool in ambient air.
- (These treatments comply with BS HR206 and AMS 5872 standards.)
Cold-rolled Sheet:
- Solution Treatment: Heat the material to 1150 °C for 3-10 minutes, followed by water quenching or fluidized bed quenching.
- Ageing Treatment: Heat the material to 800 °C for 8 hours, then allow it to cool in ambient air.
- (These treatments comply with BS HR206 and AMS 5872 standards.)
