Amardeep Steel is a leading supplier and manufacturer of Stainless Steel 904LFlanges in various categories. Stainless Steel 904L Flanges are made up of a nickel-chromium austenitic stainless steel which has 23% nickel and 19% chromium minimum in the composition with carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, copper, and 4% molybdenum. The nickel chromium molybdenum composition provides the material with excellent corrosion resistance and strength. It also has good mechanical properties such as 220MPa minimum yield strength and 490MPa minimum tensile strength. The melting point of the material is also high at 1350 degrees Celsius. Stainless Steel 904L Flanges are used at the end of a pipe to close it, mostly permanently. The material is a low-carbon version of the 904 grade of steel. This means welding and forming operations are easy on these flanges without risking grain formation and intergranular corrosion due to the carbide precipitation while welding.

The addition of copper to this grade gives it corrosion-resistant properties superior to the conventional chrome nickel stainless steels, in particular to sulphuric, phosphoric, and acetic acids. However, there is limited use of hydrochloric acids.
